Regional Dancer Opportunity
A professionally supported pathway for regional dancers, aged 8–22, to perform on Queensland’s most iconic stages.

Ballet Theatre Queensland is delighted to welcome regional dancers from across Australia to audition for our upcoming season of Snow White.
One of the most loved story ballets, Snow White, returns in July for performances on two of Queensland’s most iconic stages, The Star Gold Coast and the Concert Hall at QPAC, during the July school holidays.
This is a rare opportunity for young dancers to experience what it truly means to be part of a professional ballet company. Regional dancers will rehearse and perform alongside professional artists and creatives, gaining insight into the discipline, artistry, and collaboration required by live theatre.
Dancers will feel the excitement of:
- Wearing beautifully crafted professional costumes, custom fitted to your dancer
- Rehearsing and performing with a live orchestra
- Stepping onto major stages and performing for thousands of audience members
It is an experience that builds confidence, discipline, artistry, friendships and memories that last a lifetime.
Designed with Regional Dancers in Mind
For the first time, Ballet Theatre Queensland is opening this opportunity to regional dancers aged 8 to 22.
We understand that weekly travel to Brisbane is not always possible for families outside metropolitan areas. This pathway has been designed to balance in-person intensives with supported remote learning, allowing regional dancers to fully participate in the production.
- Dancers will come together for an intensive rehearsal period during the April school holidays, allowing them to build choreography, connection, and confidence in person.
- Following the intensive, dancers will continue training and rehearsals through supported online coaching sessions during the school term.
- Dancers will then join the full company for final stage rehearsals and performances in July.
If you or your child dreams of performing in a professional ballet production, Snow White offers a truly extraordinary pathway to experience the magic of live theatre at the highest level.
We would love to welcome you and your dancer to our Snow White season.
